Sancocho is one of Colombia’s most popular classic dishes, known for its rich flavors and layers that create a delightful culinary experience filled with familial emotions. While Sancocho is also common in other Latin American countries, each nation and region has its own unique twist, and in Colombia, with its diverse geography and regions, the ingredients in Sancocho vary. In the mountainous areas, chicken and beef are the main proteins, while in the coastal regions, fish takes the spotlight. The soup’s main components include cassava, potatoes, and various vegetables. Each family also has its own treasured recipe, resulting in subtle flavor variations in every pot.

This is different from a professional cooking class, which places more emphasis on teaching the techniques of cooking. If you are interested in learning how to cook international cuisine, we have other cooking classes available for you to choose from, or you can always contact us anytime!”

Jana hails from Medellín, the second-largest city in Colombia. From a young age, she learned many authentic cooking techniques from her mother. With her meticulous culinary skills, she never overlooks any small detail that contributes to the delicious taste. Jana often prepares mouthwatering Colombian dishes filled with umami for YK members. She is also recognized as one of the top chefs in the YK Club, earning widespread admiration from everyone!
