About Kyrgyzstan
The Kyrgyz Republic, often referred to as Kyrgyzstan, is situated in vast Central Asia, surrounded by the Tien Shan and Pamir mountain ranges. It's known as one of the "farthest countries from the sea" in the world, making it an ideal destination for history enthusiasts, adventurers, and travelers.
The capital city, Bishkek, is the largest in the country, with the Kyrgyz people being the predominant ethnic group, along with smaller populations of Uzbeks and Russians.
Kyrgyzstan boasts a rich and diverse history spanning over two millennia, bearing the traces of various cultures and empires. Despite its geographical isolation due to mountainous terrain, it has long served as a crossroads for commercial routes like the Silk Road. From Turkic nomadic tribes to the Mongol Empire and later the Soviet era, Kyrgyzstan has undergone multiple periods of rule. Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, Kyrgyzstan established a democratic government, yet it continues to be influenced by its Soviet past. Many architectural landmarks, monuments, and cultural symbols from the Soviet era still stand today, serving as testament to its historical legacy. Even though the Soviet Union has collapsed, its influence remains profound, with remnants of Soviet-era lifestyles still evident in contemporary Kyrgyz society.
About Kyrgyz Samsa
Samsa is a traditional delicacy in Central Asia, found in Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and beyond. Its name originates from Middle Persian, meaning "triangular pastry." It is speculated to have first appeared in Central Asia around the 10th century. Samsa has various regional versions, with Kyrgyzstan typically baking it and filling it with a diverse range of ingredients.

In our hands-on experience events, the focus is on “interacting with local people or instructors” and creating a warm atmosphere of “preparing the table together.”
It’s similar to preparing a dinner with locals in their homes, where each person has different tasks, but we “do not specifically emphasize learning cooking skills.”
This is different from a professional cooking class, which places more emphasis on teaching the techniques of cooking. If you are interested in learning how to cook international cuisine, we have other cooking classes available for you to choose from, or you can always contact us anytime!”
The experiential cooking activity focuses primarily on providing participants with an immersive experience of local culture and the taste of unique international cuisines. Therefore, please understand that the venue does not have a professional kitchen like in a culinary course.
Our event primarily aims to introduce participants to rare or exotic cuisines that are seldom tasted in Taiwan. Due to the higher cost of ingredients required for these exotic dishes, we will serve appropriate portions to ensure a full experience of these unique cuisines. However,we cannot guarantee that every participant will be fully satiated,,請您諒解這一點。
Who is suitable to participate in this workshop?
- Those who enjoy international cuisine and culture
- Those who are interested in international cooking
